Adolph Strand Died
Monday Evening

Adolph Strand passed peacefully away, Monday evening at St. Olaf hospital, after a lingering illness of several months. The deceased was 65 years of age, on April 19th, and during the greater part of his life resided in this vicinity.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Belle Strand, a daughter Mrs. Inez Blowers and grandson, Robert of Lyle; a brother. Oscar at Austin and four sisters; Mrs. Ida Rust of Fargo, N. D.; Mrs. Celia Peterson of Casselton, N. D.; Mrs. Nina Culbertson of Carpenter, Iowa; and Mrs. Ella Volstad of Lyle.

The deceased was the son Mr. and Mrs. Knute Strand who were early settlers of this community. The farm home being located south of Lyle, Adolph was genial and courteous and had many friends.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the Lyle Lutheran church, the pastor, Rev. Langehough officiating.

In the passing of this loved one
Wife and daughter now will find
They have lost a loving husband,
And a father, true and kind.

Friends and relatives all loved him,
He was loyal, he was true,
He was ready for the parting,
And we know God loved him, too.

So He took him home to Glory
Where he no more suffers pain,
If we're saved; trust God sincerely,
We shall surely missed again.
