1899 Francis Hanson 1983

Francis Allen Hanson was born March 11, 1899, in Nevada Township, Mower County, Minn., the son of John and Lena Hanson.

He resided and farmed in Nevada Township until October, 1980, when he moved to Austin, Minn., making his home at 800 19th Ave SW.

His marriage to Myrtle Helle took place Feb. 8, 1942, at Lyle, Minn.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Austin. Prior to moving to Austin, he was a member of Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church, Lyle, where he had served as a deacon and a member of the cemetery board. he had also served as an adult leader for the Nevada 4-H Club.

Francis died Feb. 18, 1983, at S. Olaf Hospital, Austin.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtle, two sons and daughters-in-law, Merle and Linda Hanson, North Muskegon, Mich., Dean and Liz Hanson, Faribault; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Austin, Mrs. Larry (Lynette) Aanonson, Lyle; three grandsons, Scott Hanson, North Muskegon, Eric and David (sic) Johnson, Austin; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Enright, Rose Creek, Mrs. Bernetta Anderson, Austin, Mr.s Herb (Willetta) Meyer, Austin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Minard and Grace Hanson, Lyle, Lloyd and Adele Hanson, Lyle; nieces; nephews; cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mrs. Clara Helgeson.

Funeral services were held Feb. 21, 1983, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Austin, Rev. G. C. Knutson officiating. Interment was in Six Mile Grove Cemetery, Lyle. Casketbearers were Ervin Helgeson, Jonn Anderson, Brian Hanson, James Enright, Loren Meyer, David Anderson. Charles Ekle was soloist and Mrs. Larry Gilbertson,
